UPMC Medical Education LEAP Award for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement

Congratulations to Kevin Wissman, PharmD for winning the UPMC Medical Education LEAP Award for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement! The award is given to Kevin for his QI project: Improving Pain Reassessment and Documentation Rates: A Quality Improvement Project in a Local Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Department. This is his second award for this project.

“The UPMC Medical Education LEAP Committee established this annual award for patient safety and quality improvement to honor resident and fellow trainees who devote their time to creating a culture of safety through continuous care improvement. This award is presented to teams of physicians-in-training and their peers for completing quality improvement projects that have made an impact in their clinical learning environments and the overall outcomes of care within a facility.”
